REWILD
Media Release: Say Hello to Tiny Astrid.
Volvo Car and Into The Wild Escapes launch first of its kind, eco-luxury getaway.
November 2024
Volvo Car Australia and Into The Wild escapes are thrilled to announce that bookings for Tiny Astrid, a Scandinavian-inspired ‘tiny home’ nestled in New South Wales’ breathtaking Blue Mountains, are now live. This innovative collaboration offers a unique chance for guests to experience a blend of sustainable design, minimalist luxury, and the serene beauty of Australia’s countryside.
Named in homage to the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren, creator of Pippi Longstocking, Tiny Astrid has been crafted with nature-inspired interiors and sustainable, recycled materials. This eco-luxury tiny home is designed to create a peaceful oasis, perfect for guests seeking to disconnect and reconnect with the natural world.
Located just two hours from Sydney, Tiny Astrid sits in the heart of the Blue Mountains, surrounded by stunning landscapes and iconic views. Designed with couples or solo travellers in mind, the tiny home offers a loft queen bed, a cosy lounge nook, a fully equipped kitchen, and a reverse-cycle air conditioning unit to ensure comfort all year round. For an added touch of luxury, guests can unwind in Tiny Astrid’s private hot tub with complimentary firewood provided, making it the first of Into The Wild’s tiny home collection to feature this amenity.
Tiny Astrid also features premium amenities like St Ali coffee and French linen bedding by Cultiver, ensuring a comfortable and eco-conscious stay. Whether enjoying a home-cooked meal by the campfire, unwinding with a book, or stargazing from the hot tub, Tiny Astrid offers the perfect setting to embrace the beauty of simple, sustainable living.
As part of this partnership, guests also have the option to elevate their escape by adding on the all-new Volvo EX30, Volvo’s smallest and most sustainable all-electric SUV. Designed to have the smallest carbon footprint of any Volvo car to date, the EX30 combines Scandinavian design, intuitive technology, and eco-friendly materials for a truly groundbreaking driving experience. Perfectly suited for exploring the Blue Mountains, the Volvo EX30 will be available for guests to add on to their stay, allowing for an entirely eco-conscious journey from start to finish.
Encouraging travellers to embrace a more considered lifestyle, the partnership provides a holistic approach to sustainable travel, offering up a unique experience for those seeking a small, yet immersive getaway. Bookings are now open for overnight stays at Tiny Astrid, with the option to add the brand-new Volvo EX30 for travellers who want to extend their eco-conscious journey beyond the tiny home sanctuary.
The Volvo Cars x Into The Wild tiny home, ‘Tiny Astrid’, is available to book from the 29th of November via the Into the Wild Escapes website.
