New-Look Into The Wild Escapes Offers More Opportunities for Guests to Rewild in Sustainable Luxury.
November 2022
Into The Wild Escapes is a growing collection of environmentally sustainable and off-grid self-contained accommodation, designed to offer guests the chance to really switch off from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with nature and loved ones.
Originally designed as tiny homes catering for two to four guests and set in remote locations in regional NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and most recently in Tasmania, the defining principle is that the view from the self-sustaining property is exclusively of the landscape and with no houses or signs of civilisation in sight. Each home is located within easy ‘escape-distance’ from cities.
In 2022, the number of properties in the collection across the nation is 45 and climbing, with the line up by state here: www.intothewildescapes.com. There are more on the horizon, with the model now extending to include eco-family-friendly tiny homes, accommodating up to six guests.
Each property constructed on private land, in cooperation with farmers, growers and land holders around the nation’s most picturesque regions. As part of the experience, the precise address and directions are revealed to guests a few days prior to check-in, and location branding is kept to a minimum to ensure peace and privacy.
The result is a chance to tune in to the subtle sights and sounds of nature, to appreciate the quiet, listen to birdsong and stargaze under the clear Southern Skies by night. The overall concept is centred on promoting the natural assets of regional destinations and supporting the small businesses and communities who live and work in them.
Into The Wild Escapes’ growth has been made possible by organic growth in demand for off-grid, nature-based travel experiences in the post-pandemic world and by the award of the keenly sought-after Boosting Female Founders Initiative in 2021 for the company’s founders, friends and business partners Celeste Giannas and Natasha Weir.
The houses are cleverly designed to blend with the natural environment and make the most of natural conditions, with heating and cooling also installed. Inside, guests relax with premium appointments and luxe linens, some with outdoor decks and baths and all powered exclusively by solar.
Into The Wild Escapes cofounder Celeste Giannas said plans were at hand to enhance the company’s existing travel experiences and ultimately to expand the collection to more than 500 properties in the coming five years.
“Although visually our brand is entering a new chapter, our mission remains the same: to support regional communities whilst offering guests the many benefits of getting off the grid and rewilding,” Mrs Giannas said.
“In just five years our families have grown to include six children and we’re very proud of our growing team at Into The Wild Escapes which has seamlessly guided over 40,000 guests to date on their escapes to rural Australia,” company cofounder Natasha Weir added.
Alongside the collection’s growth in inventory, Into The Wild Escapes is currently undergoing a significant brand refresh, with a new website and suite of visual assets revealed November 7.
To celebrate, Into The Wild Escapes has put together a consumer competition valued at $5000 that includes a generous stay voucher plus all the essentials for a perfect getaway including the company’s supplier partners Vahy fragrances, Carlotta and Gee linens, rugs by Wandering Folk, Koala Eco products and ST ALi Coffee.
