Tiny Wallaby and Wombat collectively sleep 12 guests.

Each tiny home sleeps up to six guests, with one queen bed by the window, one double bed in the loft and two bunk beds. 

Tiny Wallaby and Wombat are situated just 150 metres apart. Bring your friends and family to enjoy this unique getaway. Each house provides complete seclusion, allowing you to have your own space. Yet with a short walk you can easily catch up with your friends or loved ones whenever you like it. 

Make your stay even more memorable by adding our exclusive Wildlife Tour at checkout. This guided, behind-the-scenes experience takes you through the Sanctuary, where you’ll walk alongside friendly dingoes, hand-feed wombats, get up close with native birds and reptiles.

Drive an easy 45-minutes northwest of Sydney CBD, until you reach the lush, greenery of the Hills District. Residing within the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Tiny Wombat and Wallaby is home to native Australian wildlife and flora.  
 
Take a short five-minute drive and you will find yourself in the heart of Dural, which is peppered with beautiful walks, hikes and plenty of local eateries. 
 
Collectively welcoming up to 12 people, Tiny Wombat and Wallaby offers the perfect place to reconnect as a family or explore all the area has to offer with a group of friends. As evening rolls in, soak in one of the outdoor hot tubs and relax to the soothing sounds of nature. 

Expect to leave Tiny Wombat and Wallaby with an appreciation for our native wildlife. 
 
A Little Note on Seclusion at This Unique Spot
Due to this tiny home’s exceptional location on the edge of Sydney, we’ve made a few small adjustments to our usual standards of total seclusion. 
Tiny Wallaby and Tiny Wombat are located approximately 150 metres apart. If you're staying at Tiny Wombat, please note that you’ll pass by Tiny Wallaby on your way in, so if staying at Tiny Wallaby you may hear the occasional vehicle and the tiny homes are located on the grounds of a working wildlife sanctuary and team members may pass by during the day on occasion, walking dingoes or conducting property maintenance. .These minor moments of activity won’t disrupt your stay, but we like to keep things transparent.
Although the tiny homes are nestled within the grounds of a Wildlife Sanctuary, a fence separates the sanctuary itself from the tiny homes. To get up close with the animals, we recommend booking a guided Wildlife Sanctuary tour at checkout. That said, you're still surrounded by the natural beauty of a National Park, with plenty of wildlife and nature all around.

We're committed to supporting the small rural communities we call home. Before your arrival, take some time to visit local producers and stock up on fresh, local goods for your tiny home stay: Galston Deli – a charming country gourmet deli in the heart of Galston, known for its fresh, locally sourced produce and delicious homemade meals. Poppy Lane – Located in Galston, Poppy Lane offers a delicious variety of hearty breakfast and lunch options, including some of the best coffee in the area. Wild Pear Café – One of Dural’s most popular cafés, Wild Pear, has a great selection of food and is the perfect breakfast, brunch or lunch spot. You may like to book ahead as it is often very busy, especially on weekends. Glenorie Bakery – Voted Australia’s Best Bakery, Glenorie Bakery is an experience in itself. With some of the best gourmet pies you’ll ever taste, as well as a wide selection of cakes and slices, the bakery’s unique rustic décor is also well worth a look! Chizzo’s Pizzeria – If you’re looking for delicious pizza to enjoy whilst watching the sun set from your tiny home, Chizzo’s is only 10 minutes drive from the sanctuary. Gata Thai – Authentic Thai cuisine, only 10 minutes drive from the sanctuary. Galston Shops – If you’re looking to grab the essentials for your own cook-up inside your tiny home, Galston Shops has an Aldi, Liquorland and IGA and is only 8 minutes drive from the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Round Corner Dural Shops – Round Corner Dural Shopping Centre, only 10 minutes drive from the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, has a Harris Farm, Woolworth’s, BWS and Aldi as well as many cafés and boutique stores. ## DAY 1 Relax in bed watching the sunrise with St Ali Coffee. Morning meditation or yoga. Enjoy a tour of the Hills Wildlife Sancturary (these must be pre-booked prior to your stay) and find out all about the wonderful wildlife conservation work that the Sanctuary do. Meet the local wildlife, walk dingos, pat wombats and learn lots along the way! After the tour head back to your tiny home for wine and cheeseboard at sunset by the outdoor fire with local produce. BBQ dinner with local produce. Board games and stargazing by the outdoor fire, or a relax in the hot tub. ##DAY 2 Relax in bed watching the sunrise with St Ali Coffee. Add some nature-focused activities for an immersive experience: Spend time observing and photographing local wildlife. Pay attention to the sights, sounds, and scents around you. Try sketching or painting the natural scenery. Take a short drive to Fagan Park which features lush gardens, peaceful picnic areas, large lakes, and scenic walking trails. The park is famous for its themed ‘Gardens of Many Nations’ showcasing plants from around the world. The park has a historic homestead, multiple playgrounds, and is the perfect spot for families to relax and explore. Sunset dinner with local produce. Stargazing by the outdoor fire. #DAY 3 Relax in bed watching the sunrise with St Ali Coffee. Pick up a pastry or some sourdough bread from Glenorie Bakery, or have breakfast at one of the nearby cafes. Take a short 4 minute drive from your tiny home to the Mitchell Road Fire Trail. This 5km round trip, follows a cleared and relatively flat fire trail which culminates at a spectacular look out over the Berowra Valley National Park. Simply enter ‘Mitchell Road’ into your GPS and park at the end of the cul-de-sac where the trail begins. Be sure to pack the Wandering Folk picnic rug and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to your tiny home for sunset and stargazing with local produce by the fire. ##DAY 4 Morning: relax in bed watching the sunrise with St Ali Coffee. Enjoy pancakes with fresh berries and honey. Head to Galston Gorge Walking Trail in Berowra Valley National Park. It’s a steeply winding road, connecting Galston and Hornsby Heights. With dramatic cliffs, lush bushland, and winding trails, the gorge offers beautiful hikes along Berowra Creek, including a connecting trail to Crosslands Reserve. Easily accessed via Galston Road, only 10 minutes’ drive from the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Evening: Dine at one of the many restaurants in the area for a beautiful meal, then return to your tiny home to relax by the outdoor fire, or an evening soak in the hot tub. ##DAY 5 Morning: relax in bed watching the sunrise with St Ali Coffee and a breakfast platter made with local produce. Venture to Berowra Waters, a stunning riverside retreat surrounded by pristine bushland, offering boating, fishing, kayaking, and waterfront dining. Hire a tinny or kayak, or simply enjoy fish and chips by the river, only a 20 minute drive from the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Head back to your tiny home to enjoy a relaxed afternoon and stargazing with local produce.
