Overview
While there is always the option to hide away in the tiny house and do nothing, we’ve put together a brief guide to the local area in case you want to step out – we’ve factored in lots of time to relax too.
Tiny Pip is perfect for wine enthusiasts, professional picnickers and adventurers.
Drive time from Melbourne: 90 minutes.
It takes its name from Pip from Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations.
Sometimes the journey can be just as refreshing as the destination. So ahead of your 3 pm check-in, make time to take the scenic route through Macedon Regional Park and breathe a little deeper as you zig-zag through the trees. Then, step out of your car at Camel’s Hump, the highest peak in the range, and take in the spectacular views of Hanging Rock and the surrounding countryside. Your immersion into nature starts here.
Picking up some essentials on the way?
Here are the nearest supermarkets to Tiny Pip:
Lancefield Providore: 23km – Best for local produce
IGA Lancefield: 23km
Coles Kilmore: 37km
As you draw closer to Tiny Pip, your signal may drop out (a blessing in disguise), and you’ll be able to focus your attention on the incredible surroundings. Pull up metres from the house and check yourselves in by taking the keys out of the lockbox. When you step inside to your humble abode you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, fresh pure linen sheets from Carlotta and Gee, and an air-con/heating unit so you can set the ideal temperature.
Once you’re settled, ease your way into the fray and take a bottle of wine out onto the deck. A drink here will give you a giddy feeling of smug satisfaction, sitting in nature without a care in the world. Then, when you’re ready for dinner grab the beautiful bohemian Wandering Folk rug from the cupboard, wrap up some delicious eats, and take a short hike up the hill. Here you’ll find the perfect place to set up and watch the sunset.
