- Every dwelling includes cooking utensils, an indoor cooktop, a small fridge, bedding, towels and basic consumables such as salt, pepper, coffee, tea and olive oil.
- All equipment and facilities are provided at our discretion. - If your booked dwelling provides air-conditioning, we allow a maximum of 3 hours of heating or cooling per day, depending on the ambient temperature and solar status from the sun. Excessive use may impact the ability to use all electrical facilities during your stay and in these circumstances we do not take the responsibility for replacing or refunding you for the lack of use of this equipment or facilities
OFF GRID
Insects & Wildlife
- You accept that you are staying in an off-grid, rural dwelling and that you will likely encounter some wildlife, insects, vermin, livestock and/or other animals.
- Our dwellings are maintained and cleaned regularly; however, wildlife is common in the country and coastal areas. Neither we nor the Landowner accept any liability (nor will we issue a refund or credit) for the visits of any insects, livestock, vermin or wildlife, including, but not limited to, cattle, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, birds, flies, midges, mosquitoes, spiders, snakes, ticks, leeches and rodents.
- Guests agree to take appropriate safety measures to prevent negative interactions with wildlife in the area. You are not permitted to harm the land or the natural habitat of any wildlife in any way. Neither we nor the Landowner are liable for any personal injury due to animals, wildlife, insects or bugs.
Power & Connection
- By booking an off-grid, rural stay, you accept that the dwelling is powered by its own solar electricity, gas, and water supply at all times and is not connected to any mains.
- You accept that throughout your stay, you are responsible for your solar electricity usage, water conservation and gas supply. Failure to do so may result your dwelling running short on electricity, water and gas.
- The nature of being off-grid means that there may be rare occurrences when water, gas and electricity may be low throughout your stay. Our Customer Support team are available to support you throughout these occurrences in the unlikely event they arise between 10AM and 7PM (AEST), with extended trade on Fridays and Saturdays between 10AM and 8PM (AEST) and reduced hours on public holidays.
- You accept that there may be no internet, phone reception and that local towns or medical services may not be accessible without a lengthy drive from your dwelling.
EV Charging
- Guests are not permitted to charge electric vehicles at our tiny houses due to the risk of system damage and power drainage. If this policy is disregarded, we reserve the right to recover costs for any necessary electrician or tradesperson call-outs and compensate for any lost booking revenue caused by disruptions to subsequent stays.
CLEANING
By Into The Wild Escapes:
Every dwelling is cleaned prior to each guest’s arrival to the property. If there are any reasonable cleanliness issues when you arrive, you agree to notify us as soon as possible so that the appropriate action can be taken. For example, in the rare occurrence of a housekeeper failing to clean a property and you notify us on your arrival, you accept that we may require up to 4 hours following your notification to rectify the issue.
By the guests:
Before your departure from staying with us, you accept that you are responsible for leaving the dwelling reasonably clean, as well as taking all of your rubbish with you.
You are required to clean any cooking utensils used, BBQ (if used and if your dwelling has one), fire pit grill and remove any rubbish or unreasonable mess created by you in or around the dwelling.
Failure to reasonably clean the dwelling before your departure will result in an immediate $40 charge to you for the extra time incurred by our cleaners.
Failure to remove rubbish after your stay will result in an immediate $35 charge to you per bag.
CAMPFIRES
We may ban any fires at any time for any dwelling beyond any local fire ban. Any guest who lights a fire when a fire ban has been imposed will be removed from the property and will immediately incur a $2,000 fine.
If fires are permitted, they must be contained within the designated fire pit. By choosing to light a fire, you accept the responsibility to comply with all fire regulations and for mitigating any risks to the dwelling, property, people and animals.
If it is windy, you must not light a fire under any circumstances.
Standard fire regulations are as follows:
- When lighting fires, you must only use the designated permanently constructed fire pit.
- Ensure there is no debris within 2 metres of the fire.
- Completely extinguish the fire before leaving the firepit at any time.
Please familiarise yourself with fire regulations in the state of the dwelling you are visiting.

EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS
In the case of extreme or inclement weather conditions, we will offer all guests a credit for you to redeem when it is safe to travel to off-grid, rural locations.
Please note, we will not offer any credit or refund if the dwelling is available but you are unable to make it due to extreme or inclement weather conditions at your home or en route to the dwelling you have booked. For this reason we recommend you consider travel insurance or making your booking with a credit card that provides travel insurance.
If temperatures are 30°C or higher at 8 PM or later and the tiny house does not have air conditioning, we will offer a full refund. Guests who choose to proceed with their stay under these conditions will be required to pay the full booking rate.
PARKING
All of our dwellings are located on rural land with varying access conditions.
To ensure the safety of our guests and the conservation of the natural environment, you are required to park your vehicle at the designated parking area. Failure to adhere to the parking parameters outlined by us severely risks the condition of the land, as well as the safety of you and your vehicle.
In the event you fail to park in the designated parking area at your dwelling and become bogged, you will immediately incur a $150 fee for one of our trusted caretakers to assist with retrieving your vehicle should they be available.
Failure to follow access instructions outlined by us prior to your booking may result in damage to your vehicle. Any costs associated with the damage to your vehicle will be incurred by you at your own expense. You may also be liable for any costs associated with the damage to the property by your vehicle in the event you fail to use the designated parking area.
LOCATION
All our dwellings are placed on privately owned, rural land. In the unlikely event that the land suddenly becomes unavailable, Into the Wild Escapes may be forced to relocate a dwelling to a new location.
As a result, you may receive an email from Into the Wild Escapes notifying you of this change. Into the Wild Escapes will offer you the opportunity to change your booking location, with no extra processing fee.
Similarly, if the location you have booked suddenly becomes uninhabitable due to inclement weather conditions or unforeseeable occurrences, you will be notified by Into the Wild Escapes. In the case of an unforeseeable location change, you will be offered the choice to change your location or opt for a credit to escape on a different date.
AGE
All minors under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Children under the age of 2 years of age may stay free of charge using existing bedding.
Under no circumstances are underage individuals permitted to consume alcohol or partake in illicit activity. We are not responsible for underage drinking and violations of this policy will result in immediate expulsion from the premises without refund, and involvement with law enforcement.
COVID-19
The WHO declared COVID-10 a global pandemic in early 2020 and its consequences and risks are now well known to all.
As result, we no longer offer an independent COVID-19 policy. Our standard change and cancellation policies include any incurred as a result of COVID-19.
We urge you to consider travel insurance prior to booking.
FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE
Following the official action imposed by the Australian Government regarding the recent Indonesian outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, we are introducing immediate precautions to ensure the protection of our land partner’s livestock.
Affecting the health of hoofed animals only (cattle, horses, sheep and goats), foot-and-mouth disease poses a significant risk to Australia’s livestock industry.
Effective 29th July 2022, any guest staying with us must disclose if they are returning from Indonesia within 72 hours of their booking with us.
If you intend to travel from Indonesia within 72 hours from your stay, we ask that you reconsider your travel dates prior to booking.
Due to the risk that disease can pose to our Landowners and their livelihood if you have disclosed that you have returned from Indonesia within 72 hours from the commencement of your stay, we will take immediate action to relocate you or amend your stay.
Failure to disclose your travel will result in heavy fines.
