General statement of caution:
You are responsible for your own safety throughout your stay with Into The Wild Escapes.
Do not, under any circumstances approach any animals, leave food outside unattended, leave a campfire unattended or take part in any illegal activity throughout your stay.
Neither Into The Wild Escapes nor the Landowner are liable for personal injury or damage to personal property. This is inclusive of any damage incurred to your vehicle as a result of exposure to unpredictable inclement weather or rural road conditions.
You are responsible for reading all communication addressed to you from Into The Wild Escapes. This includes but is not limited to all access instructions, parking instructions, electricity, water and gas conservation throughout your off-grid stay with Into The Wild Escapes. Failure to read all communication may result in vehicle damage or over-consumption of necessary resources throughout your stay.
Change Policy:
All changes to your booking are processed by Into The Wild Escapes. All change requests must be emailed to Into The Wild Escapes with the information you are requesting to change.

All cancellations are processed by Into The Wild Escapes. All cancellation requests must be emailed to Into The Wild Escapes.
Non-Refundable Payments:
No payments made by promotional vouchers, Gift Cards, Service NSW vouchers or firewood additions can be exchanged for cash or transferred to another party under any circumstances, regardless of booking cancellations.
No refunds are admissible for those who choose to leave a stay with Into The Wild stay early.
Into The Wild Escapes reserves the right to cancel parties who do not show up to their stay. Under no circumstances will Into The Wild Escapes offer a refund for “no shows”.

- House pricing is base rate. Surcharges apply in peak seasons and public holidays.
- 2-night minimum stay applies on weekends.
- 1-night minimum stay on selected locations for other periods.

Amenities:
At every dwelling with Into The Wild Escapes, we provide everything you need to enjoy your time in nature. We intentionally maintain a simple and minimalistic space, equipped with all simple essentials to cook, clean, shower and sleep.
Every dwelling includes cooking utensils, an indoor cooktop, a small fridge, bedding, towels and basic consumables such as salt, pepper, coffee, tea and olive oil.
All equipment and facilities are provided at the discretion of Into The Wild Escapes. While we aim for all equipment to be in working order for the duration of your stay, should a breakdown or rare occurrence arise that renders a non-essential element unusable, Into The Wild Escapes does not take the responsibility for replacing or refunding the guest for the lack of use of this equipment or facilities.
If your booked dwelling provides air-conditioning, Into the Wild Escapes allows a maximum of 3 hours of heating or cooling per day, depending on the ambient temperature and solar status from the sun.
Off-grid:
By booking with Into The Wild Escapes, you accept that you are staying in an off-grid, rural dwelling.
By booking an off-grid, rural stay, you accept that the dwelling is powered by its own solar electricity, gas, and water supply at all times and is not connected to any mains.
You accept that throughout your stay, you are responsible for your solar electricity usage, water conservation and gas supply. Failure to do so may result in your dwelling running short on electricity, water and gas.
The nature of being off-grid means that there may be rare occurrences when water, gas and electricity may be low throughout your stay. Our Customer Support Team are available to support you throughout these occurrences in the unlikely event they arise.
By booking an off-grid, rural stay, you accept that there may be little to no phone reception and that local towns may not be accessible without a lengthy drive from your dwelling.
Cleaning:
By Into The Wild Escapes:
Every dwelling is cleaned prior to each guest’s arrival to the property. If there are any reasonable cleanliness issues when you arrive, you agree to notify Into The Wild Escapes as soon as possible so that the appropriate action can be taken.
By the guests:
Before your departure from staying with Into The Wild Escapes, you accept that you are responsible for leaving the dwelling reasonably clean, as well as taking all of your rubbish with you.
You are required to clean any cooking utensils used, BBQ (if used and if your dwelling has one) and remove any rubbish or unreasonable mess created by you in or around the dwelling.
Failure to reasonably clean the dwelling before your departure will result in an immediate $40 charge to you for the extra time incurred by our cleaners.
Failure to remove rubbish after your stay will result in an immediate $35 charge to you per bag.
Damage:
Are you liable for any damage caused to the dwelling or surrounding property by you and your accompanying party. This is inclusive of any damage to the interior or exterior of the dwelling, surrounding land, landowner assets, damage to or loss of animals (including wildlife and livestock), or failure to properly exit the house (failure to close windows, lock the door, leave the key in the correct location, turn off the gas, turn off the water).
Parking:
All Into The Wild Escapes’ dwellings are located on rural land with varying access conditions.
To ensure the safety of our guests and the conservation of the natural environment, you are required to park your vehicle at the designated parking area. Failure to adhere to the parking parameters outlined by Into The Wild Escapes severely risks the condition of the land, as well as the safety of you and your vehicle.
In the event you fail to park in the designated parking area at your dwelling and become bogged, you will immediately incur a $150 fee for one of our trusted caretakers to assist with retrieving your vehicle.
Failure to follow access instructions outlined by Into The Wild Escapes may result in damage to your vehicle. Any costs associated with the damage to your vehicle will be incurred by you at your own expense.
Guest Identity:
To ensure the safety of all parties traveling to Into The Wild Escapes’ secluded and rural dwellings, the identity of all guests must be disclosed before departing.
All adults, children, infants and pets must be identified in the booking before departing. Failure to disclose this information may be regarded as trespassing on rural, privately owned land, resulting in heavy fines by the Landowner to you.
The number of guests at the dwelling must not exceed the number stipulated in the dwelling website listing by Into The Wild Escapes when booking your stay. This is not applicable to infants under the age of 2.
Minimum age:
All minors under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Guests are required to use a credit card in their own name in order to obtain any booking with Into the Wild Escapes.
Under no circumstances are underage personnel permitted to consume alcohol or partake in illicit activity. Into the Wild Escapes is not responsible for underage drinking and violations of this policy will result in immediate expulsion from the premises without refund, and involvement with law enforcement.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted inside any dwelling at any time. If you choose to smoke, you are required to do so responsibly at a minimum of a 10-metre distance from the dwelling.
Litter of any kind is not permitted on the property or in the dwelling at any time.
Location:
All our dwellings are placed on privately owned, rural land. In the unlikely event that the land suddenly becomes unavailable, Into The Wild Escapes may be forced to relocate a dwelling to a new spot.
As a result, you may receive an email from Into The Wild Escapes notifying you of this change. Into the Wild Escapes will offer you the opportunity to change your booking location, with no extra processing fee.
Similarly, if the location you have booked suddenly becomes uninhabitable due to inclement weather conditions or unforeseeable occurrences, you will be notified by Into The Wild Escapes In the case of an unforeseeable location change, you will be offered the choice to change your location or opt for a credit to escape on a different date.
Extreme Weather Conditions:
In the case of extreme or inclement weather conditions, Into The Wild Escapes will offer all guests a credit for you to redeem when it is safe to travel to off-grid, rural locations.
Composting Toilet:
Most of our dwellings are installed with composting toilets, specifically designed for commercial use.
Into The Wild Escapes provides all necessary instructions for using composting toilets at all our dwellings.
All our composting toilets are installed specifically to emit no smell. However, if you notice any smell when arriving, please inform us immediately.
Under no circumstances are guests permitted to place any food, sanitary items, or foreign objects in the toilet at any time. If you are found to have placed any of the above items in the toilet chamber, there will be an immediate $2,000 charge to you.
*Dwellings that are on a septic system are Tiny Percival and Tiny Aggie.
Campfires:
Into The Wild Escapes reserves the absolute and unfettered right to ban the use of fire at any time. This right extends beyond local fire bans and may be enforced at any time, regardless of local weather conditions.
Any guest who lights a fire when a fire ban has been imposed will be removed from the property and will immediately incur a $2,000 fine.
When fires are permitted, guests must always contain the fire within the designated fire pit. Under no circumstances are guests permitted to light fires outside the permitted fire pit.
By choosing to light a fire, you accept the responsibility to follow and comply with all fire regulations.
If it is windy, guests must not light a fire under any circumstances.
When fires are permitted, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of the surrounding property. By lighting a fire, you take responsibility for mitigating any risks to the dwelling, property, people and animals.
Standard fire regulations are as follows:
- When lighting fires, you must only use the designated permanently constructed fire pit.
- Ensure there is no debris within 2 metres of the fire.
- Completely extinguish the fire before leaving the firepit at any time.

Wildlife:
All rural land occupied by Into The Wild Escapes aims to leave the environment largely undisturbed. With this being the case, natural wildlife and rural livestock inhabit the land surrounding our dwellings.
Into The Wild Escapes nor the Landowner accept any liability for the seasonal and geographical inhabitance of certain wildlife or livestock.
By staying with Into The Wild Escapes, you take responsibility for your safety around wildlife and livestock. For your safety, please do not approach any wildlife or livestock at any stage throughout your stay.
Into The Wild Escapes nor the Landowner are liable for any personal injury as a result of animals, wildlife and livestock.
Liability:
The guest will not hold Into The Wild Escapes or the landowner responsible for any personal injury or direct or indirect damages caused to the Tiny House or land as a consequence of use. This includes damages, insurance, loss due to misadventure, fire, theft, injury (whether occurring inside the Tiny House or on the surrounding property), and misconduct. The guest provides their guarantee that they will indemnify and hold Into The Wild Escapes and the landowner harmless from all claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses including legal fees arising from or in connection with any person accompanying the guest during their stay.
In the event that the guest fails to comply with the aforementioned Terms and Conditions, Into The Wild Escapes reserves the right to ask the guest to leave the unit and property, and the guest in question cannot request any form of compensation.
The guest, on submitting these terms and conditions, agrees to behave responsibly and correctly on behalf of their accompanying party as well as themselves, and acknowledge that they and their guests will absolve Into The Wild Escapes and the landowner from any liability associated with the damages or injuries. If this person, or any of the accompanying party behaves in an unsuitable and incorrect manner, Into The Wild Escapes reserves the right to ask the person and their accompanying party to leave the Tiny House. Furthermore, from that moment on they will have no right to future claims or any form of compensation. Finally, the guest will lose all payments made including the Tiny House rental and any extras they prepaid for. May we remind you that on booking a Tiny House with Into The Wild Escapes you automatically accept our Terms and Conditions, which we expect you to comply with.
COVID-19:
The WHO declared COVID-10 a global pandemic in early 2020 and its consequences and risks are now well known to all.
As result, we no longer offer an independent COVID-19 policy. Our standard change and cancellation policies include any incurred as a result of COVID-19.
We urge you to consider travel insurance prior to booking.
Foot-and-mouth Disease:
Following the official action imposed by the Australian Government regarding the recent Indonesian outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, we are introducing immediate precautions to ensure the protection of our land partner’s livestock.
Affecting the health of hoofed animals only (cattle, horses, sheep and goats), foot-and-mouth disease poses a significant risk to Australia’s livestock industry.
Effective 29th July 2022, any guest staying with Into the Wild Escapes must disclose of they are returning from Indonesia within 72 hours of their booking with us.
If you intend to travel from Indonesia within 72 hours from your stay, we ask that you reconsider your travel dates prior to booking.
Due to the risk that disease can pose to our land partners and their livelihood if you have disclosed that you have returned from Indonesia within 72 hours from the commencement of your stay, Into the Wild Escapes will take immediate action to relocate you or amend your stay.
Failure to disclose your travel will result in heavy fines.

Terms & Conditions
- Information on eligibility, mechanisms on how to enter, prizes and the information in the Schedule form part of these Terms & Conditions. Participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Any capitalised terms used in these Terms & Conditions have the meaning given in the Schedule, except where stated otherwise.
Eligibility & Entry
- Entry is open to residents of the Relevant States aged eighteen (18) years or over (Entrants). Employees, immediate family members, retailers, suppliers, associated companies and agencies related to the Promoter are not eligible to enter in the Promotion.
- To enter the Promotion, Entrants must complete the Entry Procedure during the Promotional Period. Entries may only be submitted in accordance with the Entry Procedure and will not be accepted by the Promoter in any other form.
- Entrants may enter the Promotion up to the Maximum Number of Entries.
- Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. Online or email entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission.
- The use of automated entry software or other mechanical, electronic or other means that allow an Entrant to automatically enter the Promotion repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by the Entrant invalid.
- Incomplete and ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries will also be deemed invalid if they breach these Terms & Conditions as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion or any other content guidelines notified by the Promoter during completion of the Entrant’s completion of the Entry Procedure.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Prize Draw
- The draw to determine the winning Entrant (Winner) for the Promotion will be conducted in accordance with the Draw Details. The Prize(s) will be awarded to the Entrant or Entrants (as applicable) randomly drawn in accordance with the Draw Details, provided the Entrant has complied with the Entry Procedure.
- The Winner will be notified as specified in the Schedule.
- The Winner’s full name and city of origin will be published in a national newspaper, and/or on the Site, or on the Promoter’s social media accounts, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Such publication will be done within 30 days of the Draw Date. It is a condition of entry into the Promotion that the Winner consents to the publication of such information and participates in any media releases which may include photographs of the Winner by the Promoter. By entering into this Promotion, Entrants consent to the use of their names and likenesses in this manner.
- Entrants are responsible for any and all expenses incurred when entering the Promotion and accessing, claiming and/or using the Prize (unless otherwise stated on the Site).
- As the Promotion is a game of chance, and subject otherwise to these Terms & Conditions, skill plays no part in determining the Winner and each valid entry will NOT be individually judged. Each entry has an equal chance of winning. The Winner will be confirmed by the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with Entrants regarding the decision.
- In the event that a Winner’s entry is deemed or found to be invalid, the Promoter may redraw or decide on another Winner.
Prizes
- The Prize(s) are specified in the Schedule. THE PRIZE IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE AND NOT REDEEMABLE FOR CASH.
If any Prize is unavailable and the Promoter has used all reasonable efforts to arrange the Prize, the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, reserve the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
- The Promoter and/or any supplier of the Prize or any part of the Prize may in their absolute discretion:
- reserve the right to refuse to allow the Winner or their companion(s) (if any) to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize if they reasonably believe the Winner or their companion(s) (if any) represent a safety risk or for any other reason; and
- may cancel the relevant component of the Prize if the conditions are deemed dangerous.
- Where any part of the Prize is a Gift Card the gift card is redeemable only with the issuing retail partner (Retail Partner). Use of the Gift Card is subject to the Retail Partner’s terms and conditions. The Promoter is not a party to any transaction entered into between the Entrant and Retail Partner through which the Entrant uses the Gift Card and the Promoter has no control over the conduct of any Retail Partner. For the avoidance of doubt, the cancellation, exchange, variation or refund of any goods and/or services that are the subject of the Gift Card is strictly a matter between Entrant and Retail Partner. The Prize is not redeemable for cash. The Gift Card is valid until the date stated on the Gift Card itself.
Claiming Prizes
- The Prize(s) must be claimed by the Redemption Date in accordance with any claim instructions set out in the Schedule. The Promoter may require the Winner to provide relevant evidence in order to claim the Prize, such as proof of identity, age, and any relevant proof of purchase.
- If the Winner does not claim the Prize before the Redemption Date, the Prize will be deemed to be forfeited by the Entrant.
- If any Prize remains unclaimed, a second draw or selection for the Prize will take place in accordance with the Schedule, specifically the Unclaimed Prize Redraw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The alternative Winner, if any, will be notified in accordance with the Schedule, specifically Notification of Unclaimed Prize Redraw Winners.
- The Promoter will deliver the Prize in accordance with the Schedule. Should circumstances outside the Promoter’s control occur, which cause a delay in delivery of the Prize, the Promoter will not be liable.
General
- Personal information: The Promoter collects personal information from all Entrants in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, collect, use and disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, Prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities. Please see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (linked in the Schedule) for more information about how the Promoter collects, stores, uses and discloses personal information, including details about overseas disclosure, access, correction, how Entrants can make a privacy-related complaint and the Promoter’s complaint-handling process. By providing personal information to the Promoter, the Entrant agrees to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of that information as described in this clause and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
- Non-Excludable Guarantees: Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any legislation which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable State or Territory legislation (Non-Excludable Guarantees).
- Consequential Loss: Despite anything to the contrary, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable under these Terms & Conditions for any consequential loss including but not limited to loss of profit (including anticipated profit), loss of benefit (including anticipated benefit), loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, loss of savings (including anticipated savings), loss of reputation, loss of use (including both real and anticipatory) and/ or loss or corruption of data, whether under statute, contract, equity, tort (including negligence), indemnity or otherwise.
- Liability: Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including the Non-Excludable Guarantees), the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) will not be liable to an Entrant for, and the Entrant waives and releases the Promoter in respect of all liability (including but not limited to all expenses, costs, damages, claims, losses) arising in any way out of or in connection with:
- any act or omission of an Entrant;
- any breach of these Terms & Conditions by the Entrant;
- any personal injury or death or property loss or damage;
- claiming the Prize;
- use of the Prize in any way;
- any theft of any Prize or unauthorised access or third-party interference in the Promotion;
- any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, delayed, corrupted or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or
- any tax liability incurred by a Winner,
except to the extent such liability was caused or contributed to by the Promoter’s negligent act or negligent omission.
- Force Majeure: Neither Party will be liable for any delay or failure to perform their respective obligations under this Agreement if such delay or failure is caused or contributed to by a Force Majeure Event. Force Majeure means any event or circumstance which is beyond a Party’s reasonable control including but not limited to, acts of God including fire, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, landslide, tsunami, mudslide or other catastrophic natural disaster, civil riot, civil rebellion, revolution, terrorism, insurrection, militarily usurped power, act of sabotage, act of a public enemy, war (whether declared or not) or other like hostilities, ionising radiation, contamination by radioactivity, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination, any widespread illness, quarantine or government sanctioned ordinance or shutdown, pandemic (including COVID-19 and any variations or mutations to this disease or illness) or epidemic.
- Online entries: In the event that a dispute arises as to the identity of an online Entrant, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorised account holder of the email address. The authorised account holder means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organisation that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email. The Promoter may ask any Entrant to provide the Promoter with proof that such party is the authorised account holder of the email address associated with the entry.
- Legal Warning: Any attempt, deliberate or otherwise, to cause malicious damage or interference with the normal functioning of the Site, or the information on the Site, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operations of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers loss or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other legal obligation by an Entrant, the Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for those losses, damages and costs.
- Social Media: Social media membership pages, applications and use of social media generally is subject to the prevailing terms and conditions of use of the social media platform. Unless otherwise indicated in these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. If an Entrant uses social media to participate in the Promotion, the Entrant understands that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. Entrants are solely responsible and liable for the content of their entries and any other information they transmit to other Internet users. By participating in the Promotion, the Entrant releases Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or applicable social media site from all claims, liabilities, suits, actions and expenses, including costs of litigation and reasonable legal costs associate with the Promotion.
- Currency: Unless the contrary intention appears, a reference in these terms or in any advertisement relating to the Promotion, to Australian dollars, dollars, AUD$ or $ is a reference to the lawful currency of Australia.
- Amendments: If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
- Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the States and Territories in which the Promotion is conducted and the Commonwealth of Australia. Entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of their State or Territory.
